School Lacrosse – Secondary
Of the twelve secondary schools run by Aberdeen City Council there are five that have sampled some lacrosse (pop and field) over the last few years – Aberdeen Grammar School, Bankhead Academy, Harlaw Academy, Hazlehead Academy and Oldmachar Academy.
Of the independently run schools in Aberdeen, three have offered the opportunity to try lacrosse – Albyn School, Robert Gordon’s College and St Margaret’s School.
Unfortunately there is not a strong enough base in any of the above schools to develop a schools’ lacrosse league although this is a target for the future. Aberdeen Lacrosse Club offers coaching for secondary pupils and will be entering teams into competions this year.
