Coaches Wanted

Due to work and University commitments of lacrosse coaches in Aberdeen , NELA is struggling to provide introductory or regular coaching sessions in schools.  If you are a qualified lacrosse coach (or qualified in another sport and have an interest in becoming qualified in lacrosse) and you would like to:

·       Get paid for coaching

·       Gain experience working with children and young people 

·       Promote the development of this fantastic sport

Coaching Awards

NELA currently offers two coaching awards

Pop Lacrosse Leader

This is a two hour module.  This course is a basic introduction to pop lacrosse and how it can be taught to children.  The course content does not require you to have any previous knowledge or experience of either pop or field lacrosse.  Upon completing the course you should be able to assist in the delivery of pop lacrosse to primary age children.  £10.00 per head (as at 07/05/07)

Preliminary Coaching Award

This is a six hour module.  The first two hours covers the same material as the Pop Lacrosse Leader.  The remaining time is used to cover the basics of field lacrosse, how to plan sessions and how to coach the game to children.  This course does not require you to have any previous knowledge or experience of either pop or field lacrosse.  Upon completing the course you should be able to deliver basic field lacrosse sessions, with assistance.  £50.00 per head (as at 07/05/07)
